Paul Stanworth Joins The Good Economy as Board Chair

Bath, UK – 5 June 2023: The Good Economy, the UK’s leading independent social impact advisory firm, is delighted to announce that Paul Stanworth, current Group Chief Investment Officer at Monument Re, has joined its Board of Directors as Chair.

Paul is a pioneer of institutional investment and place-based impact. He was previously CEO of Legal and General Capital which he led to provide early-stage investment to UK businesses and infrastructure. This unit was at the forefront of the drive for socially useful investments by large institutions and is today one of the UK’s biggest investors in regeneration projects.

He has been instrumental in building successful start-up teams and businesses, showcasing his ability to drive business growth and innovation.

Paul co-led the Place-Based Impact Investing Project, a collaboration between The Good Economy, the Impact Investing Institute and Pensions for Purpose, that aims to mobilise greater flows of institutional investment for more inclusive and sustainable development across the UK.

With a focus on strategies to influence socially responsible capital flows to social and affordable housing, Susan plays a crucial role in The Good Economy's mission to address the UK’s social housing challenges.

John-Paul Preston, Non-Executive Director - Trusted Commercial Advisor and Negotiator

John-Paul Preston's expertise as a trusted adviser and commercial negotiator makes him a valuable addition to The Good Economy's board. His experience as COO at Gresham House plc, where he was instrumental in expanding assets under management and creating sustainable investment funds, showcases his ability to drive growth and strategic development.

With his diverse background in private equity, investment and legal counsel, John-Paul provides strategic counsel to The Good Economy, ensuring its operations align with its mission and vision.
