Hannah Gilbert

Biography

Hannah is an expert in sustainability in finance and business. Hannah has over 15 years’ experience developing innovative products and partnerships in private, public and not-for-profit organisations and industries experiencing huge transition.

Hannah has a wealth of commercial and policy experience in a diverse range of organisations from start-ups to large corporates to charities. As Policy Advisor at HMTreasury she worked on housing and infrastructure; as Director of Programmes at the International Tourism Partnership she developed a sustainable supply chain tool for global hoteliers; as Client Director of fintech Moneyhub, she managed the partnership with a large retail bank to develop a new pilot. Hannah has first-hand experience of nurturing partnerships from within corporate and start-up organisations, bringing an entrepreneurial approach to problem-solving.

Hannah has a rigorous understanding of research methods, impact and sustainable development from Masters in Economics (Merit), Sustainable Tourism (Distinction) and recent EMBA (Distinction). Hannah has co-authored major policy papers, including the influential ShareAction report Pensions for the Next Generation which helped shape the agenda for engagement and ESG in pensions and investments. Hannah has a deep understanding of the nuances and tensions in current approaches to responsible investment, ESG (environmental, social and governance factors) and impact.

Hannah has a track record in at the nexus of technology, innovation and impact. Hannah leverages her subject-matter expertise to develop future fit strategies for clients. Her recent EMBA thesis on financial innovation, strategy and ecosystems in a dynamic and complex policy context was awarded a distinction. She is passionate about the power of technology and transparency to build financial engagement along the investment value chain and deliver better outcomes for all.
